Malware, viruses, trojans, worms, etc., the names of all you Internet and computer users must have heard. Now what are these things? How can these make your system worse? And how can you avoid these? I am going to write today’s post on all these issues. Friends, as far as you know, have heard, seen about malware, my request is to put everything on one site. And let’s get to know everything in a fresh way.
The full name of malware is Malicious Software. This means that it is a kind of software program that is not quite right, and unfortunately, if it enters your computer, it can make your whole computer useless. Now let’s talk about where this malware can enter your system from. See the most common source of your computer being infected today is the Internet. If you are on a malicious website on the Internet, if you download a pirated movie, if you download pirated software and games, if you click on a malicious ad on a malicious website, or if you receive a malicious email, your computer may be infected with malware. Your computer may be infected offline as well as online. If you connect a CD, DVD, or pen drive from an unknown source to your computer, your computer may be infected.
Now let’s talk about the types of malware. The different types of malware are viruses, Trojan horses, worms, scareware, rootkits and spyware.
Let’s talk about viruses first. What does the virus do? It can enter your system and make certain files useless. Suppose you have a Word document, now if it is infected with a virus, you can no longer open that document. Or the file may be completely corrupted or converted to junk. It could also be that the virus has rendered your entire word processing software useless. In this case, if you copy a file or share it with someone, the infected file can enter another computer and make that computer useless.
Now let’s talk about another category of malware, Trojan. Trojan is one of the most cunning malware.Trojan is a malicious software that takes the form of normal software and goes unnoticed. You may think that this is real software but Trojan enters your computer and damages your system. For example, there are many memory cleaners, which after clicking on them, it seems that your memory has been cleaned, but in fact the memory is jammed. Trojans can also be seen in various free antivirus, speed booster. You will feel that your memory will be clean or the speed of the computer will be boosted. But once this thing enters your computer it will show up in its original form, and your system will start to slow down. And by slowing down the speed of your computer, it also creates the way for various viruses, worms, malware to enter your computer.
Now let’s talk about another category of malware, which is worms. What do worms do? It usually tries to multiply itself. This means that if your computer is infected with worms, it will create many similar files on your computer and slow down your system. And if you copy something from your computer to another computer, it will infect that computer as well. And in the same way thousands of the same files will slow down your system by repeatedly creating folders with the same name.It can access the device via email attachments.
This tempts the user to buy or download unwanted software. Be careful! Unnecessary software can cause damage to your device.
It displays advertising banners while the adware is running. It may be installed automatically while browsing the website. Many companies use it for marketing.
Spyware may be installed on the device without the permission of the user. It monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits sensitive information to third parties.
Ways to avoid malware
You use your common sense. Try to make sure that the websites you visit on the internet are trustworthy sites. A popular, large, and trusted site is not usually malicious. Refrain from accessing any website by clicking on the link. When visiting a website, if you see an ad like “Win iPhone, click here” or “Remove all viruses from your computer“, never click on the ad.
Also, if you receive a mail that says, “You have won the 10 USD million lottery” or “Get the latest offer for yourself, such antivirus is free for 1 year“, then never open the mail. Or never download the file that came with the mail. So you can protect your computer from being infected by paying special attention to all these things online.
Also I would say use a good antivirus and with internet security. However, keep in mind that this antivirus software must be a paid version. If you use free antivirus or pirated antivirus, listen to me, it will not benefit you. On the contrary, you can become infected with Trojan. So I think you need to have a paid version of antivirus or antimalware from any company.
Moreover, if you do not use any type of pirated content, it creates a higher level of protection for you. Although pirated movies or software do not always contain viruses, they can sometimes be present. Also, before inserting any CDs, DVDs, or pen drives into your computer, consider whether they came to you from a trusted source. Because many times a copy paste of 10 minutes can be responsible for corrupting your whole computer. In this case, it is much better if you have a paid version of antivirus. If not, think carefully before inserting any type of CD, DVD, or pen drive. Even if these virtual evils enter your computer by mistake, you can suffer a lot.
