Science has changed the face of our earth through its discoveries. Today we are able to give space and even think of settling on another planet. There are many scientific experiments behind every discovery. While there are good aspects to this scientific experiment, there are many risks and some terrible consequences. Some scientific experiments are so terrible that if they fail or some kind of error occurs, much more terrible consequences can occur. In the meantime, some scientific experiments have been carried out on the earth that could destroy the earth or destroy the entire animal kingdom.
Allywebsite is organizing some scientific experiments today that could have destroyed our world.
1. Kola Superdip Borehole:
In 1960, the Soviet Union decided to dig a hole in the center of the earth to gather information about what is at the center of the earth and how the earth was created. The hole was dug in the Optic Circle in 1989. They dug a 12 km long hole to find out what is under the earth.
Excavation was stopped in 1992. Because at that depth the temperature rises to more than 300 degrees centigrade. As a result, no machinery or drilling machine was working properly. According to scientists, if its excavations had not been stopped, it could have upset the earth’s balance and caused severe earthquakes. The dormant volcanoes would wake up and cause a terrible tsunami. In a word, the world could be destroyed. This hole is said to be the deepest hole in the world.
2. Starfish Prime Experiment:
On July 9, 1972, the USA launched an atomic bomb. Which was launched into space. The purpose was to test the power of the nuclear bomb in outer space and to find out what happens when a bomb explodes in space. It is the largest man-made explosion in space so far. The experiment was conducted during the Cold War, at an altitude of 400 km from Johnston Island in the Pacific Ocean. The explosion produced the equivalent of one and a half megatons of TNT. Which was 100 times more powerful than the Hiroshima bombing. The explosion caused extensive damage to outer space. The three satellites were destroyed as soon as the explosion occurred. And 2 satellites went bad. The formation of electromagnetic pulses caused extensive damage to nearby street lights and phone lines. The eruption was so large that it could be seen in space covering an area of 1450 km around the earth. This explosion created an artificial radiation belt around the earth. Which lasted up to 5 years. Which destroys all the satellites of Lower Earth Orbit. According to scientists, it would be very frightening if it happened in our lower atmosphere by mistake. The level of radiation in the atmosphere would increase. And it spread all over the world. Which would have been very harmful to mankind. This radiation also damages our ozone layer, which protects us from the sun’s ultraviolet rays. However, nothing like that happened.
3.Trinity Test :
At 5:29 a.m. on July 16, 1945, the world’s first atomic bomb was tested in an uninhabited city in New Mexico. This project was canceled several times.
Because the chief scientist of this project, Edward Taylor, who is called the father of the hydrogen bomb, was deep in thought. His fear was that this bomb would destroy mankind from the earth. The reason for his concern was justified. Our atmosphere contains the most nitrogen. If this atomic bomb causes a chain reaction as a result of fusion with the nucleus of nitrogen in the atmosphere, then the whole earth will be destroyed. However, they did not back down under pressure from the US government. This project was very secret. He did this test so that they could detonate such a bomb in Japan. However, there was no damage to the Trinity Test and the test was completed successfully. The blast had a power equivalent to 21 kilotons of TNT. The explosion created a hole 2 meters deep and 10 meters wide. The blast caused the mushroom cloud to rise to a height of 12 km. The surrounding area became brighter than daylight. The shock wave caused by the explosion was felt up to 150 km.
4. Large Hadron Collider :
The Large Hadron Collider is a particle accelerator located in Switzerland. It was created by the European Organization for Nuclear Research. This particle accelerator is for collecting information about how this earth was created and what happened in the Big Bang and the universe. This is by far the largest experiment in physics.
In September 2008, the 6 million, 18-mile-long particle accelerator collided with 300 trillion proton particles at 99.9 percent of the speed of light. This is mainly to create microscopic black holes and to know the existence of sub-atomic particles.
Which will take scientific study and space research much further. But the scientists feared that if these tiny microscopic black holes began to engulf everything around them through chain re-action, the whole earth would become a full-fledged black hole. There will be no sign of the earth in the universe. But thanks to Hawking Radiation, nothing like that happened.
When a black hole spreads its energy into space, it is called Hawking radiation, and the smaller the black hole, the sooner its energy will be released into space. So in this case, the energy of the black holes created by this experiment would have been radiated and the earth would have been saved from destruction.
Although this experiment has made it possible to know a lot about the Earth, black holes and subatomic particles. Through this experiment a new particle is discovered. Which is named Hicks Boson Particle. It is also called God Particle. Because according to scientists, this particle has the ability to create other particles. The most surprising thing is that at that time this news was spread through various news of the world but we dismissed it as fake news. But we were saved from a great danger at that time.
